This is a very stately prickly pear cactus. The pads are circular, stiff, and perpendicular to the attached pad. It forms a trunk that lifts the canopy of pads above the ground in a chandelier fashion. You are selecting whole plants that have been rooted. It is very slow growing to 5x5 feet tall and wide. It enjoys full sun and fast draining soil. It is cold hardy to 10F. This strand is native from Northwest Arizona to Southern Utah.
