Fouquieria columnaris, also known as Boojum Tree is a large spiky shrub occurs in sandy valleys in central Baja California. Mature plants can reach 24 feet in height, but typically they are found in all sizes and shapes. The small green leaves that line the branches are mostly fresh in the fall and winter. The Boojum Tree goes dormant in the hot summer and becomes mostly leafless. Plant in well drained soils. You are bidding on the Boojum Tree size pictured. This is a farm grown plant. The leaves will drop off when shipped. New leaves will appear after re-establishment. It is a succulent plant.
