Euphorbia muirii. Medusa Head is a unique form of the South African milk weed family. Each stem has multiple green fingers that can grow into stems that become rooted as well. Yellow or White flowers appear at the tips of each finger and can be very fragrant. It enjoys full summer sun to stay compact and symmetrical. Protect from frost.
Euphorbia species exist on every continent, but succulent species are most on the African continent. They come in all shapes and sizes, with close to 1000 species in existence. The flowers (called cyathium) and milky sap from all parts of the plant bring them into one family of plants. The latex should be avoided, as it can irritate eyes and nose. Wear gloves or wash hands thoroughly during and after handling the plant. You are bidding on one of the specimens shown.
