Echinocereus engelmannii—commonly known as the Strawberry Hedgehog Cactus. Native to the deserts of the Southwestern U.S. and Northern Mexico, this is one of the most common and hardy hedgehog cacti you’ll encounter. This species has a wide ranging distribution from the southern California deserts in the west to central and southern Arizona in the east, and then down into north western Mexico. It also has highly variable spine colors ranging from black, various shades of brown, and some having white spines.
This batch of specimens were grown from seed, not wild harvested, and grown in full central Arizona sun year around; so they are definitely heat and cold tolerant. This item will be shipped bare root.
